Wilson Ultra 108 V3 Tennis Racquet

The Wilson Ultra 108 V3 is the lightest weight and most forgiving of Wilson’s Ultra family, a family of racquets designed for a blend of power and control with added stability.  Compared to the prior version of the Ultra tennis racquets, this 2020 series showcases a redesign of the frame’s geometrical shape. The redesign reveals the Integrated Perimeter Weighting System and a Sweet Spot Channel that extends the cross strings for a few extra degrees of power while increasing the sturdiness and stability of the frame.  This family also features the Ultra 100 V3 (standard weight) and the UltraL V3 (lighter weight).

Design Features of the Wilson Ultra 108 V3

The Ultra 108 V3 is the most powerful and forgiving frame in the Ultra series.  Wilson engineered this racquet so that the Integrated Perimeter Weighting system increases the frame’s volume at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock for more stability without minimizing the expanded sweet spot.  Their Sweet Spot Channel features cavities on the inside of the frame to extend the cross strings and increase the ability of the grommets to move, thus giving the string bed more power at deflection. The Crush Zone grommet system has been incorporated to boost power and ball dwell time on the strings and a high performance carbon fiber composition ensures frame stability and explosive power shot after shot.
